    The Arrows first lineup (as Streak) rehearse at The Loft in New York in 1971, and then record a 3 song demo tape. This is done as a lark, over a few short weeks, with Alan Merrill in New York on vacation from his solo career in Japan.

    Alan Merrill returns to Japan to form the glam rock band Vodka Collins and Jake Hooker relocates from New York to London to continue the Streak band concept with new British players.

    Streak and Vodka Collins both split up at around the same time in late 1973, with Alan Merrill relocating to London from Tokyo. The Arrows are formed with Jake, Alan, and Clive Williams on drums.

    Arrows new producer Mickie Most insists on replacing Clive Williams with former Streak drummer Paul Varley. The Arrows lineup is set and the band begin recording their RAK Records debut single "Touch Too Much."
